Ockey grew up in Asheville, NC and now lives in Charlotte. She values her parents more than anything — they shaped who she is today and are her main motivation to show up and give her all. Ockey is a self-described "gym rat," working out four to five times a week with hot yoga twice a week to stay zen. She also co-hosts a podcast with her best friend and loves to travel both domestically and internationally. Fun fact: she's been growing her locs for six years — the same amount of time she's had her sweet dog, Ice. Ockey was inspired to enter insurance after watching her grandmother ensure a policy was in place, making things easier on her mother when she passed. That experience drove Ockey to help other families do the same.
